Random variation can hide the effect of a small edit
When a creator changes one phrase and also receives a different random starting point, the next image may alter pose, layout, lighting, and background together. It becomes difficult to tell whether the wording or ordinary generation variation caused the visible difference.
A reused seed provides one point of continuity for a nearby experiment. That continuity is useful only when its limits are understood: the seed is one request parameter among the prompt, brief-building output, references, dimensions, model behavior, and other active settings.

How Studio stores, clears, and validates the value
The Pro Mode number field parses a non-empty value into the optional seed setting. Selecting Random writes undefined, which clears the explicit seed and leaves the generation path free to choose a random start. Saved thumbnail settings and history records can carry a seed when one was present.
The generation route and sanitizer require a whole number between 0 and 2147483647, inclusive. Values outside that range or non-integers are rejected rather than silently clamped. A valid repeated seed can encourage related output when the surrounding request remains similar, but the code does not promise exact reproducibility.

Choose a baseline worth extending
Start from a generated concept whose composition, pose, or mood is useful enough to guide a nearby variation.
Check: Can you name the one visual property you hope to keep approximately related?
Reuse a valid integer
Enter the recorded seed between 0 and 2147483647 while keeping the prompt and other settings unchanged initially.
Check: Is the value a whole number inside the accepted inclusive bounds?
Change one meaningful variable
Revise one prompt detail or one structured control so the comparison remains interpretable.
Check: Could you attribute a useful difference to the single changed input rather than several simultaneous edits?
Clear the seed for exploration
After the controlled comparison, select Random when broader variation is more valuable than continuity.
Check: Have you preserved the useful image and its complete settings before returning to a random start?
Testing one expression change
Setup
A hypothetical creator likes the pose and framing of a host holding a failed circuit board but wants to compare a concerned expression with a surprised one.
Action
They reuse the recorded seed, keep references, style, palette, framing, and dimensions unchanged, and edit only the expression phrase. After reviewing that comparison, they select Random for a wider concept search.
Practical result
The hypothetical reuse may produce a more related variation than an unconstrained restart, but differences can still appear throughout the image.
Lesson
A seed supports controlled iteration; it is not a pixel lock, composition lock, or substitute for preserving the original asset.
What this tool does not promise
Accepted explicit seeds are integers from 0 through 2147483647, inclusive.
Random clears the explicit value; it does not generate and display a replacement seed in that control.
The same seed with changed prompts, references, dimensions, settings, or model behavior can produce substantially different images.

What seed values does Studio accept?
The validated range is any integer from 0 to 2147483647, including both endpoints.
What does the Random button do?
It clears the explicit seed from Studio settings. The next generation can then proceed without that user-supplied starting value.
Will the same seed recreate my thumbnail exactly?
No exact recreation is promised. Seed reuse can aid similarity, but the complete request and generation path still influence the output.
Should I change several settings while reusing a seed?
You can, but the comparison becomes harder to interpret. For a controlled test, keep surrounding inputs stable and change one meaningful variable.
