A browser canvas applies the visible edit stack
Crop boundaries determine the exported frame. Zoom, pan, rotation, and flips transform the source within that frame, while brightness, contrast, saturation, blur, grayscale, and sepia filters alter the rendered pixels. Presets apply prepared combinations of those same controls rather than generating new subject matter.
Skin Tone Protect can blend selected color adjustments around detected skin-like pixels, with a strength setting and an optional face-safe cap on aggressive filters. Undo stores recent editor states. Save exports WebP when supported, falls back to PNG, uploads the result, and persists it as a new Quick Edit with a credit cost of zero.

Lesson
Canvas adjustments can improve framing and finish, but they cannot repair an expression or restore visual information that was never in the image.

Does Quick Edit use a generation credit?
No. The saved Quick Edit record currently has a credit cost of zero. It is exported from the browser canvas and stored as a new version.
Can Quick Edit remove an unwanted person or object?
Not semantically. A crop may exclude something near an edge, but the editor does not understand objects or synthesize replacement pixels. Inpaint is the local AI-editing path.
What does Skin Tone Protect do?
It estimates skin-like pixels and blends selected adjustments around them according to the protection strength. Detection can vary with complexion, color cast, shadows, and scene lighting.
Will saving overwrite my source thumbnail?
No. Studio creates a new Quick Edit version with source-image metadata, then selects that new result while retaining the prior history record.
